The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Saturday have said that they don’t have a required vote for passing the no-confidence against the PM in the National Assembly so they had no need to do such kind of misadventure.

They expressed these views while addressing a joint press conference here on Saturday. They termed the proposal of bringing a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan a ‘misadventure’.

The PML-N leaders Khawaja Saad Rafique, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Azam Tarar and others held a press conference at Model Town Lahore.

Saad said might be they received a vote of the government members and their allies in the matter of moving a no-confidence motion in the house but it could be proved a misadventure.

He said they had not played any game to overthrow this government but it was digging a pit for itself, so let them go on their own instead of forcibly sending them away.

The PML-N leader said due to high inflation in the sitting government of Imran Khan, millions of people had fallen below the poverty line.

Saad said though the sugar was available in Pakistan, but the PTI government was going to import it.

He said in NA-133 by-elections, the government was running away from the people’s reaction and the PTI had made its’ candidate a scapegoat. He demanded to hold accountable President Arif Alvi for issuing so many ordinances.

On this occasion, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said through the amendments to the NAB Ordinance, PM Imran and other government authorities had made themselves save from accountability as the PM, CM and ministers had been declared exempted in it.

He said Imran led government had raised prices of different commodities three times a month and medicines had become 400 per cent more expensive.

Ayaz said the rulers were going to do constitutional amendments on electoral reforms which they cannot do and the opposition would block these amendments at all costs.

He said the PML-N wanted to give the right to vote to overseas Pakistanis but it should be discussed as per the procedure. He said PM Imran was totally following the policies of the IMF.

Tarar said that the government had made attempts to change the NAB laws and election laws through backdoors.

Separately, PML-N Spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb in a statement demanded action from the Election Commission against Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister on the Daska Elections Inquiry Report.

She said after exposing the real face of the rulers in the Daska inquiry report, PM Imran should be punished according to election laws for stealing the by-elections.

She also demanded that the report of the Election Commission should be implemented immediately and legal action should be taken against all those responsible.
