ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s federal government announced reductions in the prices of petroleum products, effective from August 14 for second half of August 2024, cutting petrol by Rs8.47 and diesel by Rs6.7.
The announcement was made after approval of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. With the fresh relief, consumers will now pay Rs260.96 per litre for petrol, and Rs266.7 per litre for HSD.

Petrol prices were announced in contrast to usual fortnight review – that used to be held on mid-month – but the federal government announced new petrol price ahead of Indepedence Day.
