Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by 24 runs in the 17th fixture of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi Wednesday, as Kings failed to chase the 198-run target set for them. Karachi Kings won the toss and decided to field first.

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi have set a target of 198 runs for Karachi Kings to chase during the 17th fixture of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023, being played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi today.

After Mohammad Amir got quick wickets of Zalmi opening pair Babar Azam and Mohammad Haris before removing Saim Ayub, middle ordered helped the team to recover from early losses and build a tough target for Kings.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore made unbeaten 56 runs, Haseebullah scored fifty while Rovman Powell smashed 64 to build `198 runs target for Kings.

Karachi Kings may feel hard done by lady luck as three of their four defeats have been by close margins – by two runs against Peshawar Zalmi, by six runs against Quetta Gladiators and by three runs against Multan Sultans at the latter’s home.
