PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly dry weather for Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in upper districts.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely enter upper parts of the country from tomorrow evening/night.
Under these conditions, mainly dry weather is expected in Peshawar and most parts of the province on Monday night and the following two days. However, rains with wind/thunderstorms are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Manshera, Kurrum, Khyber, Shangla and Buner during the period.
Peshawar’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 26-28 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 28-30 C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 32 C.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 31 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 28 per cent.
