PCG seizes Iranian diesel, drugs worth millions

Pakistan Coast Guards during successful operations over the past 30 days, thwarted the smuggling of 915,440 liters of Iranian diesel in Balochistan’s areas of Gwadar, Jiwani, and Pasni. Additionally, 34.505 kilograms of high-quality hashish were seized, valued at approximately $0.57 million in the international market. According to the Pakistan Coast Guards spokesperson, these actions were based on intelligence reports. Besides narcotics and diesel, the Coast Guards intercepted smuggled goods worth PKR 30.6 million at various checkpoints.

These goods included gutka, betel nuts, naswar, tires, electronics, foreign fabrics, and cigarettes. The confiscated goods have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings have commenced. The spokesperson reiterated the Coast Guards’ commitment to combating all forms of drug trafficking and smuggling to protect the nation’s economy.
