LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to withdraw the offer extended to Test captain Shan Masood for the role of Consultant International Cricket and Players’ Affairs, the sources said on Monday.
The sources said that Shan Masood was verbally offered the consultancy position in October.
However, his busy schedule with Pakistan’s Test team has made it challenging for him to take on additional responsibilities alongside his cricketing commitments.
With Pakistan set to play key series in the upcoming World Test Championship, the PCB appears to be prioritizing Masood’s cricketing career over the consultancy role, making the withdrawal of the offer likely.
Shan Masood recently participated in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy following Pakistan’s series against South Africa and played in the President’s One Day Cup matches before traveling to the United States.
