LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the valuation process of Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise teams and other related assets has been completed.
Following the completion of this process, PCB has issued offers to all eligible PSL franchises for the renewal of their agreements for the next ten years, with revised franchise fees. Teams have been asked to inform the PSL management of their decisions within the stipulated deadline.
To ensure transparency in the renewal of the decade-long franchise contracts, the PCB has also arranged joint and individual meetings between franchise representatives and the chartered accounting firm EY MENA. Franchise owners will be given the opportunity to review the valuation methodology and raise any questions they may have.
Additionally, PCB has received reports from EY MENA regarding the potential pricing of two new PSL franchise teams. The tender process for the sale of these teams will begin soon.
The interested buyers would be allowed to choose from the following cities for their potential franchises: Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit and Rawalpindi.
The PCB management reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining fair, transparent and mutually beneficial relationships with all PSL stakeholders, noting that the league continues to play a key role in the growth and global recognition of Pakistan cricket.
