In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and acting chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League Abdul Ahad Parra has demanded the release of all Kashmiris, languishing in Indian jails before Eid-ul-Adha.

In a statement in Srinagar, he urged the international human rights organizations to take notice of the plight of the Kashmiri detainees including APHC leadership and put pressure on India to release them without any further delay.

In Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Posters have appeared against Indian Home Minis-ter, Amit Shah’s upcoming visit to the territory.

The posters displayed by different pro-freedom organizations said that being mastermind of the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, Amit Shah is a criminal for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The posters urged the UN to take cognizance of the continued denial by India of the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

The posters were also seen on the all social media platforms including twitter, Facebook and WhatsApp groups.

APHC leaders Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Abdul Ahad Parra, Khawaja Firdous, Khadim Hussain and Syed Sibte Shabir Qumi in their statements said, the visits of brutal and oppressive Indian rulers to the occupied terri-tory have no meaning for freedom-loving Kashmiris.

The leaders said the only demand of the people of Kashmir is the withdrawal of the Indian army from their motherland and the holding of a free and fair plebiscite under the UN supervision.

On the other hand, speakers at a seminar in Geneva said that the freedom of expression remains totally suppressed in IIOJ&K.

The seminar was organized by World Muslim Con-gress on the sidelines of the 53rd session of United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.—KMS
