STOCKHOLM – Pakistan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Sweden Ahmed Amjad Ali has formally assumed his diplomatic responsibilities after presenting his Letter of Credence to King Carl XVI Gustaf at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
The credential ceremony, held with traditional royal protocol, is another step in ambassador’s diplomatic assignment and speaks of Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening ties with Sweden.
During his audience with King Carl XVI Gustaf, Ambassador Ahmed Amjad Ali conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of Pakistan’s President and Prime Minister for the King’s health and well-being. He also conveyed Pakistan’s leadership’s sincere wishes for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Sweden.
Pakistan signals push for stronger ties with Sweden
The Pakistani envoy reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to deepening the country’s longstanding and cordial relations with Sweden, with a particular focus on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
Ambassador Ahmed Amjad Ali also expressed his resolve to promote stronger people-to-people contacts, highlighting the importance of closer engagement between the two countries.
Swedish government confirmed that Ahmed Amjad Ali was among four ambassadors who presented their credentials to the King on September 22, 2026, alongside the newly appointed envoys from Israel, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia.
