ISLAMABAD – The population of donkeys in Pakistan continued to steadily rise as it has increased by around 100,000 to 5.9 million as compared to the previous year, the Economic Survey 2023-24 revealed.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb unveiled the country’s economic survey, which also shows significant increase in the population of other animals including cattle, buffalo and sheep.
The report shows the population of horses and camels remained unchanged. The total population of horses was recorded at 400,000 in the outgoing fiscal year.
The population of sheep and goat also saw significant increase.
