KARACHI – Ninth Muharram is being observed across Pakistan with religious reverence and mourning, and several Pakistani celebrities have taken to social media to pay tribute to martyrs of Karbala.
Amid nationwide mourning, Pakistani artists expressed their sorrow and respect for sacrifices made by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions. Imam Hussain and his companions stood against tyranny and was martyred along with his family and loyal followers in the Battle of Karbala.
Pakistani entertainment industry once again shown its devotion during these sacred days. From attending Majalis to participating in Juloos and organizing Sabeels and Niaz, celebrities have used their platforms to honor the memory of Karbala.
Imran Abbas was recently seen in a video that went viral on social media, where he attended a Majlis and participated in mourning rituals. Actor and singer Mohsin Abbas Haider also marked the occasion by sharing a powerful Noha recitation video on Instagram. His caption read poetic lines.

Sadia Imam once again traveled to Karbala ahead of Muharram this year. Known for her annual pilgrimages during these sacred days, Sadia shared visuals of her participation in religious activities both abroad and upon her return home, where she organized Majalis at her residence.
Naveed Raza arranged Sabeel outside his house on the 9th and 10th of Muharram. He actively shared Instagram stories showcasing moments of remembrance and mourning.
Actress Natasha Ali maintained her yearly tradition of spending Muharram in Karbala. Clad in a traditional Iranian Chadar and visibly immersed in spiritual practices, she shared heartfelt glimpses of Ziyarat, Majalis, and Azadari from Iraq via her social media stories.
Renowned actress Resham once again demonstrated her devotion by preparing and distributing food and drinks as Langar in honor of the Ahl-e-Bait (A.S). Known for her humility and generosity, Resham personally prepares Niaz and shares it with the underprivileged.
Former wife of actor Feroze Khan, Alizeh Sultan, also paid homage to the martyrs of Karbala through an emotional social media post, stating, “What can this world offer you, when it denied even water to Hussain?”
Yumna Zaidi, Noor Bukhari, Zubab Rana, Madiha Rizvi, and Hina Rizvi have also been seen participating in various Muharram rituals, reaffirming that the message of Karbala continues to inspire reflection.
