Internet services in Pakistan remain disrupted for almost for a week now, with millions experiencing slow speeds and limited functionality on apps like WhatsApp and Facebook, and it now affected other portals like online marketplace Fiverr.
As internet situation persists and affects people from all walks of life who are voicing their concerns. The disruption of internet services not only dented basic communication but on digital service providers, especially those relying on freelance platforms like Fiverr, and Upwork.
Internet users, who are already facing ban on X, are using VPN service and shared posts about Fiverr that issued warnings to clients about potential delays with Pakistani freelancers due to the internet disruption.
Fiverr Lists Pakistani Freelancers as Unavailable?
Posts shared on X from Fiverr stated “We understand that there may be Internet disruption in your area that might make it harder to keep your routine going. To make sure any unexpected order delays won’t hurt your ratings, we’re going ahead and temporarily setting your availability status and Gig(s) as “unavailable.”
It further mentioned that this action will not negatively impact ratings of any service provider.
Social media users, who are already facing serious issues, shared plethora of posts about concerns on internet disruption, and criticizing government’s decision and appealed to Fiverr to remove the warnings.
As some users faced problems, other claimed that there was no change in their status at Fiverr.
