KARACHI – UAE announced a reduction in petrol prices for November in light of drop in global crude oil rates. Compared to October, prices have fallen by 0.15 AED per liter, bringing relief to drivers across the Gulf nation.
Super Petrol has plunged from 2.77 AED per liter to 2.63 AED, Special Petrol is now 2.51 AED, down from 2.66 AED, and E-Plus Petrol has dropped to 2.44 AED per liter, from 2.58 AED.
Petrol Price Update
| Country | Fuel Type | Old Price | Nov Price | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UAE | Super Petrol | 2.77 AED | 2.63 AED | -0.14 AED |
| UAE | Special Petrol | 2.66 AED | 2.51 AED | -0.15 AED |
| UAE | E-Plus Petrol | 2.58 AED | 2.44 AED | -0.14 AED |
| Pakistan | Petrol | 263.02 PKR | 265.45 PKR | +2.43 PKR |
| Pakistan | Diesel (HSD) | 275.42 PKR | 278.44 PKR | +3.02 PKR |
According to the UAE Ministry of Energy, through its Fuel Price Monitoring Committee, these monthly rates are set based on global oil averages and the operational costs of distribution companies.
Meanwhile, across the border, Pakistani drivers face an opposite reality. Petrol prices have increased by 2.43 per liter, and diesel has risen by 3.02 , bringing the new rates to 265.45 per liter for petrol and 278.44 for high-speed diesel (HSD) for the next 15 days. Analysts point out that domestic economic considerations, rather than global oil trends, are driving these adjustments.
These contrasting moves vividly illustrate how global oil price fluctuations affect regional fuel markets differently: while UAE motorists enjoy the benefits of cheaper crude oil, Pakistani consumers are grappling with rising fuel costs.
