ISLAMABAD – Capital Development Authority made it mandatory for chefs and waiters in all restaurants and food points in Islamabad to wear safety caps.
This measure aims to ensure proper hygiene standards in food handling. According to the latest SOPs issued by the Food Authority, any violation of this rule will result in the immediate closure of the restaurant or food point.
Director of the Food Authority has urged citizens to report any restaurant staff not wearing caps. Inspection teams have also been deployed across the city to ensure compliance with the new regulations.
Wearing proper food SOPs in food business is crucial for ensuring food safety, hygiene, and quality. By following SOPs such as wearing clean uniforms, hairnets, gloves, masks, and appropriate footwear, employees help prevent physical, chemical, and microbial contamination of food.
