PAKISTAN Navy’s two-day exercise across all major ports and harbours sends a powerful and unequivocal message: Pakistan’s maritime defenders remain vigilant, prepared and resolute in countering all forms of threats, including the evolving sub-conventional and asymmetric challenges.

According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Navy, the objective of the exercise was to validate and refine tactics, techniques and procedures for safeguarding critical maritime infrastructure.

In an era where hybrid warfare and unconventional threats are increasingly used as tools of destabilization, such exercises are not only timely but essential for national security.

This comprehensive drill involved the coordinated deployment of the Pakistan Navy Fleet, Pakistan Marines, Special Services Group (SSG) and Naval Aviation.

The scenarios simulated a variety of threats including sabotage, infiltration and unconventional assaults.

This high-level, multi-dimensional engagement was aimed at enhancing inter-agency coordination, situational awareness and rapid response capabilities.

The performance in this exercise reaffirms a consistent truth: the Pakistan Navy, like the Pakistan Army and the Pakistan Air Force, remains always ready, always vigilant.

Over the years, it has repeatedly proven its operational excellence and commitment to safeguarding the maritime frontiers of the nation.

Unfortunately, aggressive rhetoric continues to emanate from New Delhi.

In a statement charged with hostility, India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh threatened to unleash the firepower of the Indian Navy against Pakistan.

His comments, made aboard the aircraft carrier, reflect a troubling escalation in tone and posture from across the eastern border.

These statements are not new—they are part of a pattern of belligerence from Indian leadership especially following moments of embarrassment at the hands of Pakistani forces.

The most recent example involved India’s failure to match the prowess of Pakistan Air Force, where our Shaheens outmanoeuvred and outclassed adversarial attempts in the skies.

If India now wishes to test Pakistan’s strength at sea, it will meet the same fate.

Pakistan Navy is no less capable and no less prepared.

Whether above the clouds, on land, or across the vast stretches of the Arabian Sea, Pakistan’s defenders are unified and alert.

As the national budget for the upcoming fiscal year is set to be announced, it is imperative for the government to recognize the essential role of our defence forces and allocate increased resources to the defence sector.

Modern threats require modern tools and our brave men and women in uniform deserve nothing less than the best in technology, infrastructure and support.
