Pakistan Army’s top leadership expressed concern over what they termed as unjustified criticism and intentional misrepresentation of the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative in 265th Corps Commanders’ Conference, ISPR said Friday.
A statement shared by Inter-Services Public Relations said the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir chaired 265th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at GHQ.
During the huddle, Army conducted a thorough review of Pakistan’s internal and external security situation, focusing extensively on Azm-e-Istehkam. This initiative aims to coordinate national counter-terrorism efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and illegal activities, thereby ensuring lasting stability and economic prosperity.
The forum also addressed regional security concerns, particularly in Afghanistan, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace.
COAS and top commanders also expressed solidarity with people of Kashmir and Palestine, condemning human rights abuses and violence in these regions. The military leadership affirmed its awareness of various challenges and pledged to fulfill its constitutional duties with the support of Pakistan’s resilient population.
Highlighting the threat of politically motivated digital terrorism and foreign-backed misinformation campaigns against state institutions, CCC emphasized national unity and resolve in countering such tactics.
Pakistan armed forces also pledged continued support for socioeconomic growth initiatives and reiterated their commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and operational readiness.
In Confernece, COAS General Syed Asim Munir underscored the Pakistan Army’s preparedness to overcome internal and external challenges, emphasizing its role in ensuring the stability and prosperity of Pakistan under all circumstances.
