The Chairperson and President of the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute University, Dr. Maria Sultan, visited National Skills University and its IT infrastructure, skills learning workshops, and laboratories. On her arrival, the Vice Chancellor NSU received her and briefed about the NSU pathway to becoming a university in the shortest time.
She took a keen interest in IT infrastructure designed specifically for cybersecurity and artificial intelligence hands-on training.
According to her, it was deplorable that a world-class institute established 35 years ago stayed neglected for a long time. However, it is pleasing to note that with the arrival of the founding Vice Chancellor Prof. Mukhtar, National Skills University (established through upgrading former NISTE) would emerge as a center for strategic and economy-supporting skills.
Dr. Sultan further stated that good institutions like NSU could play a significant strategic role in boosting national economy and skilled workforce by training youth and devising policies.
