Women scholars call for following path of Prophet (SAW) for solution to current-day quagmire

Female scholars, intellectuals and parliamentarians have urged the government and the people to follow the ‘Path of the Holy Prophet (SAW)’ to come out of the current-day quagmire the Pakistani society and the people are caught in.

They were speaking at a Women’s Mehfil-e-Milad in connection with Rabbi-ul-Awwal organized by the Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) at the Aiwan-e-Quaid.

The Milad mehfil was attended by a large number of female participants including students, teachers, media persons, members of civil society and women of religious parties and groups.

Member of the National Assembly (MNA), Mrs Farrukh Khan was the Chief Guest on the occasion while former Senator Razina Alam Khan and Member of the NPC Executive Committee, Nargis Nasir were the guests of honour.

The life and the action of the Holy Prophet stands out as golden example to follow for the Muslims across the world and we should keep ourselves committed to following his role model, Mrs Farrukh Khan said adding a balanced society is possible only making the Islamic society in the times of Holy Prophet (PBUH) as our ideal where no one was superior to others, no one was above law.

Today, Pakistan is unfortunately confronting multitudes of problems and crises like economic uncertainty, political challenges and social disorder. The root cause of all these challenges lies in the fact that we have forsaken the path of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and adopted the ways and lifestyle of those who have never been our friends.

Razina Alam Khan in her remarks paid tribute to the NPC for organizing Milad-un-Nabi to revive the bond of association with the Prophet (PBUH). Such events not only revive the bond of Islam and love for the Prophet, they also make us feel proud of our religion as we remember the golden days of Islam, she said. Nargis Nasir paid rich compliments to the NPC for hosting such a spiritually rich and profound ceremony. “Our mothers can give the best generations to the world if they raise their children according to the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH),” said she.

The participants of the Women Mehfil-e-Milad commended the efforts of the NPC for organizing positive events that reflect our Islamic identity and uphold the Ideology of Islam and Pakistan.

The Mehfil-e-Milad started with Hamd and then women participants offered Darood-o-Salam. Those who attended and participated in the event included Shazia Awan, Rubina Butt and Syeda Beena.
