Non-local woman arrested for kidnapping child in Budgam

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, local police on Thursday arrested an Indian woman for kidnapping a four-year-old child in in Budgam district.

A police spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Police Station Khag received an information that the Indian woman who was begging in Dalwash village, Khag, kidnapped a four years old child, Ahil Ahmad Pandit, resident of Dalwash Khag.

“The lady concealed him under her scarf. Some women turned suspicious and informed police Station Khag. Meanwhile police party rushed to the spot alongwith lady police personnel, recovered the kidnapped boy from her possession and arrested her on the spot.”

The accused lady has been subsequently identified as Chidi Devi wife of Khana Ram resident of Dhannasar, Hanumangarh Rajasthan, India, police said. “The boy has been handed over to his parents after medico legal formalities,” police said.—KMS
