LAHORE – Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) revoked all installment facilities on electricity bills until further notice, as part of a strict recovery drive launched for the month of June 2025.

According to official sources, the power supply company directed field offices to cut power supply in case of non-payment of current bills or outstanding dues. Consumers have been directed to clear their current month’s bills in full, while immediate recovery of any pending arrears mentioned in the bills has also been mandated.

Earlier, LESCO allowed consumers to pay their outstanding dues in installments; however, this facility has now been withdrawn for June. The move aims to ensure that the company meets its revenue targets amid increasing financial pressure.

As per the new directives, extensions in bill due dates will still be allowed in accordance with NEPRA regulations. However, failure to pay even within the extended timeframe will result in the disconnection of electricity.

The company also issued strict instructions to recover dues from all categories of consumers — including residential, commercial, and industrial — and warned that no leniency will be shown during the current recovery campaign.

LESCO’s decision is likely to impact thousands of consumers who rely on installment plans to manage their electricity expenses.

Two Electricity Meters allowed, But crackdown planned for THESE users!
