The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced new petrol and diesel prices for September 2026 amid rising global oil prices following exchange of fresh strikes between the US and Iran.
The UAE Fuel Price Committee announced the rates for the upcoming month after reviewing the developments.
UAE New Petrol, Diesel Prices
The price of Super 98 petrol has been raised to Dh3.80 per litre, up from Dh3.60 in August. Special 95 petrol will cost Dh3.69 per litre, compared with Dh3.49 previously.
E-Plus petrol will also become more expensive, rising to Dh3.61 per litre from Dh3.41 last month.
The sharpest increase has been recorded for diesel, with the price climbing to Dh4.30 per litre, compared with Dh3.80 in August.
The revised prices will take effect from September 1, 2026.
Oil jumps above $90 per barrel after fresh US-Iran strikes
Oil prices climbed more than 2% on Monday amid renewed tensions between the United States and Iran following a US strike on Iranian forces on Larak Island and subsequent Iranian attacks targeting US bases in Jordan.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was trading at $85.09 a barrel, up $1.69, or 2.03%.
Brent crude stood at $90.17 a barrel, gaining $2.07, or 2.35%.
The rise in crude prices came as markets responded to the latest military exchanges between Washington and Tehran, increasing concerns over potential risks to regional energy supplies.
