LAHORE – National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency NCCIA in turmoil as four officers have been arrested in a corruption crackdown. Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) held four senior officers, including the Additional Director, on serious corruption charges.

According to sources, the arrested officials, led by Chaudhry Sarfraz, stand accused of misusing their authority and accepting bribes, sending shockwaves through Pakistan’s premier cyber crime agency.

The suspects are set to appear before Lahore District Court today, represented by prominent lawyer Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq.

This crackdown comes amid reports of widespread absenteeism and chaos within NCCIA offices across. Several officers have gone missing from Lahore and Islamabad, with some allegedly fleeing abroad. The agency’s headquarters and regional offices in Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi have been severely disrupted, with over a dozen are currently absent, some of whom are reportedly in the US or France.

The arrests raised questions about internal functioning and accountability of Pakistan’s cyber crime network, highlighting alleged deep-rooted corruption at the highest levels.

Officials have vowed a full investigation, while insiders warn that more high-ranking officers may face action as the probe unfolds.

National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) summoned key YouTubers in connection with its ongoing investigation into illegal online gambling and betting applications. Ducky Bhai was held at Lahore airport for allegedly promoting online gambling and betting apps, and now the case has taken an even more sensational turn.

With latest developments, NCCIA has come under scanner itself, with senior officers, including the Additional Director who was probing Ducky Bhai, arrested for bribery and corruption.

The case against Ducky Bhai was originally filed by NCCIA Lahore in August this year, as YouTuber is accused of violating multiple provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), 2016 including Electronic Forgery, Fraud, Spamming, and Spoofing.
