ISLAMABAD – As eyes are at high profile case of Ducky Bhai, a Deputy Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, has disappeared while investigating online gambling apps case.

Deputy Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA Usman, who was leading the probe into TikTok sensation Ducky Bhai for allegedly promoting online gambling apps, has been missing for over a week, the court was apprised today.

During hearing, Islamabad Police revealed that Usman’s disappearance coincided with other members of his investigation team also going missing, raising fears of a larger conspiracy. The court was told that authorities are examining Usman’s WhatsApp data, but so far, no solid leads have emerged. His last known location was traced to Islamabad’s F-6 sector, and CCTV footage has been reviewed extensively without success.

Adding to mystery, Usman’s wife Rozina, who petitioned Islamabad High Court to help locate her husband, has also disappeared, along with the couple’s children. Advocate Rizwan Abbasi informed the bench that Rozina disappeared shortly after approaching the court, and neighbors reported that her home was locked with no signs of the family inside. Rozina’s last known location was near Empress Road, Lahore, before her phone went offline.

The court was also informed that Rozina had received a threatening call, warning her to withdraw her petition, sparking concerns that her disappearance may not have been voluntary. Justice Azam Khan remarked that Rozina might be staying with relatives, though her lawyer questioned whether she left of her own accord.

The hearing was adjourned until October 31, with the court directing police to expedite the investigation and submit a detailed report on efforts to recover Usman and his family. Meanwhile, the nation watches in shock as the disappearance of a top cyber crime officer and his family raises serious questions about safety, threats, and possible foul play in one of the country’s most sensitive cyber investigations.

Ducky Bhai Case

Pakistan’s digital world is in turmoil as Ducky Bhai faces high-profile legal storm. Famous YouTuber is accused of promoting illegal gambling apps, allegedly causing massive financial losses to unsuspecting users.

Reports claimed he could face up to seven years in prison and fines of Rs10 million, though journalist Muhammad Umair clarified that these claims are inaccurate — the trial hasn’t even started yet. Only an interim challan has been submitted, naming Ducky Bhai, his wife Aroob Jatoi, and his manager Subhan as accused.

The controversy intensified when the court denied Ducky Bhai’s bail earlier this month. The FIA told the court it possesses “damning evidence” linking the trio to the betting apps. Ducky admitted to promoting the apps without verifying their legality and expressed regret over the negative impact of his content, while Aroob and Subhan insist they were unaware of any wrongdoing.
