Featuring Quaid’s rare documents

The National Archives of Pakistan is set to organize a photo exhibition today (Friday) featuring some of the rare documents belonging to the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and leaders of the Pakistan Movement with an aim to pay rich tributes to the Freedom Fighters on the eve of the International Archives Day.

The exhibition titled “Flashes of Freedom: An Exhibition of Courage & Heritage” will transport visitors through a visual journey into history paying homage to the relentless struggle for independence and the immense impact of exceptional individuals on the destiny of Pakistan.

The exhibition is open to the general public between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the National Archives of Pakistan, N-Block Federal Secretariat.

“We are delighted to celebrate International Archives Day from June 9 (today) by organizing this exhibition,” said Director General of the National Archives of Pakistan Naveed Alauddin adding through this exhibition “we shall pay rich tributes to the freedom fighters and illustrious individuals who played pivotal role in shaping our nation’s history.”
I am sure the event will inspire and educate visitors, particularly the youth, about rich heritage and the remarkable sacrifices made by those who fought for our freedom, he further said.

The National Archives of Pakistan extends a warm invitation to citizens, historians, researchers and students to visit the exhibition and delve into the inspiring stories that have moulded the nation’s identity, he further said.

Through a captivating collection of photographs and personal documents this exhibition aims to provide a unique opportunity to witness the remarkable stories of courage, sacrifice and unwavering determination, he concluded.
