ISLAMABAD – The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) is the competent authority to issue B-Form officially known as Child Registration Certificate (CRC) for all children under the age of 18 years.
The registration authority advises public to get the birth of their children registered at the relevant union council within a month and later apply for the B-Form at any Nadra office.
It is the fundamental right of a child to get registered with the NADRA as it is required for various procedures such as obtaining passport, appearing in board exams and others.
CRC can be taken by providing documented proof of child birth from union council. Parent is required to be a holder of National Identity Card (NIC)/National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).
B-Form Updated Rules
According to the revised rules, children under three years of age are exempt from providing biometric data and photographs. It means that their B-Forms will not feature their photos or biometric data.
For children aged three to ten, a photograph and, where available, an iris scan are now required.
For those aged ten to eighteen, biometric data, including fingerprints, photographs and iris scans, are mandatory. Each child will also be issued an individual CRC with a specified validity period.
B-Form Fee Update
The normal fee for B-Form stands at Rs50 with processing time of seven days while the executive fee stands at Rs500 with one day processing time.
