RAWALPINDI – Security forces have killed nine terrorists belonging to Indian proxy “Fitna Al Khwarij” in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
ISPR said on reported presence of khwarij, an intelligence based operation was conducted by the security forces in Tank District. During the conduct of operation, the troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange, seven militants were neutralised.
Another intelligence based operation was conducted in Lakki Marwat district. In ensuing fire exchange, two more khwarij were effectively killed by the security forces.
The military’s media wing said weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Indian sponsored khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces, law fnforcement agencies and target killing of innocent civilians.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored kharji found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has praised the security forces for what he described as highly successful operations against India-sponsored militants in Tank and, in which nine were killed.
Naqvi commended the professional skill and bravery of the forces, saying they had foiled the sinister designs of the militants and reaffirmed the nation’s confidence in their capabilities.
He added that Pakistan’s security forces had achieved “significant successes” in the fight against terrorism and remained fully committed to ensuring lasting peace in the region.
