More rains are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Sunday night and Monday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, more rain with snowfall over the mountains is likely in the twin cities, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Sunday night. Cold and partly cloudy weather is likely to prevail in other parts of the country. Fog/smog is likely to persist over eastern Punjab and upper Sindh.

Landslides and snowfall may cause road closures/slippery conditions in Naran, Kaghan, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Shangla, Astore, Hunza, Skardu, Murree, Galiyat, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Poonch and Haveli during the period. An increase in fog intensity is also likely over northeastern Punjab.
Islamabad’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 06°C and 08°C on Monday, between 07°C and 09°C on Tuesday, and between 05°C and 07°C on Wednesday.
Rawalpindi’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 09°C and 11°C on Monday, between 10°C and 12°C on Tuesday, and between 08°C and 10°C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, rain occurred in upper/central Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the last 24 hours. Fog/smog persisted in parts of Punjab and upper Sindh. Dense fog persisted over the northeastern districts of Punjab. Cold and partly cloudy weather prevailed over other parts of the country.
