In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the fascist Modi regime has destroyed the economy of the occupied territory and deepened enslavement of its people through brutal laws and regulations.
APHC leaders Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Zamrooda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Dr Musaib and Maulana Sajid Nadvi appealed to the United Nations to put pressure on India to stop atrocities, harassment and seizing properties of people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
They added that the new anti-Kashmir policies are adversely impacting the Kashmiris’ basic legal, social and political rights.
The leaders condemned the inhuman treatment meted out to the illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders, youth and activists by the Indian communal jail authorities. The political detainees representing the freedom sentiments of the people of Kashmir have dedicated their lives and honour for the sacred cause of freedom from Indian subjugation.
They urged the UN to impress upon India to release all political prisoners including APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi, Fehmeeda Sofi, Naheeda Nasreen, Ayaz Akbar, Shahid-ul-Islam, Merajuddin Kalwal, Peer Saifullah, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Khurrum Parvaiz, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, Shirief Sartaj, Dr Hameed Fayaz, Maulana Abdul Majid Dar, Maulana Mushtaq Veeri, Abdul Rashid Doowoodi, Maulana Abdul Wahid Kishtwari, Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Mohammad Rafiq Gania, Showket Hakeem, Mohammad Hayat Bhat, Mehrjudin Nanda, Assadullah Parrey, Noor Muhammad Fayaz, Muhammad Yousuf Fallahi Tariq Ahmed Dar, Dr Shafi Shariati, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtooand Ghulam Qadir Butt have rendered valuable sacrifices for the ongoing resistance movem.—KMS
