Mitsubishi provides financial assistance to IBA students

The Sindh Building Control Authority has reduced procedures and timeline for approval of buildings falling under Category-I. This iconic initiative by the SBCA includes facilities of electronic verification from land owing agencies within half day, online payment, issuance of construction permit for pre approved plans within 5 days while for designed plans within 15 days, SBCA has also reduce the inspections and now only initial and final inspections from SBCA representatives shall required for Category- I Buildings and issuance of completion certificate within 15 days. This would only be for Category-I buildings which are houses on a plot of up to 399 SqYds (ground plus one floor), any other building on a small plot of up to 120 SqYds and a non-obnoxious warehouse up to 1,111SqYds. The recent initiative have been taken by the Sindh Building Control Authority under SBCA Smart and steps of operation for processing and approval of building plans is highly commendable. This initiative will go a long way in facilitating quick approvals and also provide confidence and ease of business to the public. These reforms have been highly appreciated by the World Bank.
