ISLAMABAD – MDCAT 2026 has been rescheduled across Pakistan in line with the directions of Prime Minister Shehbhaz Sharif.
Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) made the announcement in an official statement, stating: “MDCAT previously scheduled for 16th August 2026 rescheduled to 20th September 2026”
“On the directions of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) hereby informs all candidates, parents, educational institutions and other stakeholders that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), previously scheduled to be held on 16th August 2026, has been rescheduled to 20th September 2026,” read the statement.
This decision has been taken to ensure the smooth, secure and transparent conduct of the examination while facilitating all candidates.
All other terms, conditions and examination arrangements shall remain unchanged unless notified otherwise. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official PM&DC website and official communication channels for further updates and instructions.
“PMDC appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all stakeholders and regrets any inconvenience caused,” it concluded.
