PESHAWAR – MDCAT 2024 is around the corner and medical aspirants are excited yet anxious to appear in the medical entry test.
To avoid a cheating scandal like of last year, the provincial government decided to shut down mobile phone services during Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) scheduled for September 22 Sunday.
As 2 lac students will appear in MDCAT this year, Peshawar local administration made the decision after strategic meeting with key officials, including Peshawar DC, Khyber Medical University officials, and top cops.

As per the latest understanding, mobile phone towers near exam centers will remain non-operations during MDCAT 2024. To further add a layer of security, there will be jammers to block mobile signals.
Section 144 will be imposed near exam centers. A traffic management plan has been put in place to facilitate smooth transportation on exam day. The police will deploy officers, including female police personnel, to maintain security.
The security and arrangement of MDCAT exam hall will be monitored by an assistant commissioner, and surveillance cameras will be set up both inside and outside the halls.
