ISLAMABAD – Lieutenant General (retired) Muhammad Abdul Aziz has been appointed as chairman of Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
Punjab Governor Baligh Ur Rehman appointed a former army officer to the coveted post for the next three years.
Aziz, who remained in key positions during his service, was appointed after the retirement of former Chairman Lieutenant General (Retired) Malik Zafar Iqbal.
After the Punjab governor’s order, Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) issued a notification of the new chairman to lead government agency responsible for hiring and administering the provincial civil services and management services in the region.
Lt. Gen retd. Abdul Aziz will get monthly salary of Rs0.9 under MP-I Pay Package.

In 2021, then Army Chief General (retd) Bajwa installed Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Aziz, Commander 4 Corps, as Colonel Commandant of Artillery Corps.
