Li Jigen, CEO of Sino Sindh Resources Private Limited (SSRL), has reaffirmed the company’s dedication to employee well-being and development. SSRL, a subsidiary of Shanghai Electric, was recently honored at the Employers’ Federation of Pakistan (EFP) Employer of the Year Awards 2024, reflecting its commitment to fostering a supportive work environment.

Li Jigen expressed pride in the recognition and reiterated SSRL’s commitment to improving working conditions for its employees. “Our workforce is invaluable, and enhancing their well-being and growth remains a top priority for us,” said Jigen.

The company is a major player in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) through its Pakistan Thar Block-1 Integrated Energy Project. This initiative features two 660 MW coal-fired generating units and an annual output of 7.8 million tons of lignite coal. The project aims to meet the energy needs of 4 million Pakistani households, contributing significantly to reducing fuel imports, saving foreign exchange, and bolstering energy security.
