Widespread rains with isolated heavy downpours are predicted in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday, with occasional breaks.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents are penetrating upper parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave is also affecting upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, widespread rain-wind/thundershowers with isolated heavy downpours are predicted in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Khyber, Bajaur, Mohmand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Peshawar, Hangu, Orakzai, Karak, Kurram and Kohat on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday, with occasional breaks.
Heavy rains may cause urban flooding in Mardan, Swabi, Peshawar and Nowshera. Widespread rains may cause landslides in hilly areas.
Daytime temperatures in Peshawar are expected to remain between 34°C and 36°C on Tuesday and between 35°C and 37°C on Wednesday.
Over the past 24 hours, rains occurred at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
