According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents are penetrating upper parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave is also affecting upper parts of the country.

More widespread monsoon rains are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Pothohar region, Kashmir, northeast Punjab and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night and the next two days, with occasional breaks.
Heavy downpours are also expected during the forecast period
Impacts
Heavy rains may cause urban flooding in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Mardan, Swabi, Peshawar, Nowshera, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot and Lahore.
Widespread rains may cause flash flooding in local nullahs of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Landslides may occur in hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galiyat and Kashmir.
Temperatures
Daytime temperatures in Islamabad and Rawalpindi are expected to remain between 27°C and 29°C on Tuesday and between 28°C and 30°C on Wednesday.
