Youm-e-Neela Butt is being marked on August 23, 2023 as the initiation point of practical phase of Kashmir liberation struggle against 100-year embedded Dogra autocratic rule over Jammu and Kashmir state. It was from this strategic Height in Bagh district that Sardar Mohammad Abdul Qayyum Khan in his young age of 22 years started the Kashmir liberation movement on that historic day.
Active preparations are ongoing for a mass celebration of start of Kashmir struggle from Neela Butt that partially culminated in liberation of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. It is a public event observed annually with massive participation from the people and public institutions; public holiday is observed on the day.
Ex-Premier Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, Muslim Conference chief, is personally overseeing the celebratory arrangements saying as Youm-e-Neela Butt is a public event, we are just acting as host. Neela Butt Heights remind us all that we have yet to accomplish our remaining liberation liability by vacating Indian occupied Kashmir from illegal Indian aggression and occupation, he elaborated in his remarks Saturday in his hometown Ghaziabad.
As usual the day start with special morning prayers for early success of ongoing Kashmir struggle to make entire Jammu and Kashmir as geographic part of Pakistan as per principles of partition of British India into two independent states of Pakistan and India. Muslim majority principle was disrupted by India on October 27, 1947 by occupying a part of Kashmir by landing her aggression army in Kashmir. Our struggle shall continue till liberation of Indian occupied territories, Sardar Attique added.
