K-Electric has intensified its crackdown on electricity theft, launching coordinated operations with law enforcement against illegal hydrants and water mafia activities in Jahangirabad and Jalalabad. These operations revealed significant instances of power theft, especially in Jalalabad, where illegal hydrants were discovered using underground 95 mm cables.
The raids led to the seizure of 450 kilograms of illegal cables, which were being used to divert over 500,000 units of electricity over the past six months. As part of its “Kunda Removal Campaign (illegal hooks removal) ,” K-Electric has also set up facilitation camps to offer consumers easier access to services and support.
