The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front while condemning Israeli aggression on the Palestinians has called upon the United Nations and Organization of Islamic Cooperation to immediately intervene to cease the hostilities in Palestine.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the JKLF in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Palestinian people are facing the Israeli onslaught for the past many decades for waging a struggle for liberation of the Qibla Awwal, Aqsa Masjid, and the Palestinian territory from illegal Israeli occupation.
The JKLF said that Indian prime minister Narendra Modi toeing the line of Zionist Israel is also taking brutal measures to change the demography of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The party expressed solidarity with the Palestinian Muslims.
The Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC), headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has demanded release of all illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and India.
The AAC in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that its founder Chairman Shaheed-e-Millat, Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq, was arrested by the Indian police on this day (October 10) in 1965 and imprisoned in various jails for the next almost three years.
It said that Shaheed-e-Millat along with dozens of leaders and hundreds of workers of the organisation was arrested for voicing people’s concerns and representing their aspirations.
It demanded of the Indian government to immediately set free all the Kashmiri political prisoners who have been detained for years in various prisons of IIOJK and India. These prisoners have been kept away from their family and loved ones for years and were suffering various health problems, it deplored.—KMS
