Israeli plan to wipe-out Gaza

Since the armed conflict began between Israel and Hamas on October 7, 2023 more than 1300 innocent Palestinians have embraced martyrdom. Besides, more than 6000 Palestinians are reported to be seriously injured. On the Israeli side, 1100 Israelis have reportedly been killed in the Hamas initial attacks on October 7 and October 8, 2023. As already warned by Israeli Prime Minister, Mr Netanyahu, Palestinians will be wiped out of the Gaza Strip. While attacking Palestinians, Israel is using all military resources through aerial warfare, naval warfare and ground attacks apart from missile attacks. For the Zionist-cum-expansionist Israeli state, both the United States and the European Union have pledged complete military and political support. The US has already moved its aircraft carrier, loaded with huge war munitions near Israeli Naval Base to punish the unarmed and innocent people of Palestine. Following the Israeli Prime Minister’s decision to wipe out Palestinians from Gaza, the Israeli Defence Minister ordered “complete siege” on the Gaza Strip.

Indeed, Gaza has been under siege for the last 15 years and the few crossing points which were open have now been sealed. Since October 8, 2023, Gaza has been without electricity, food, water, fuel and any medical facilities. Israel has decided to invade Gaza through ground forces. To do this, Israel has mobilized its over 300,000 reservists apart from its huge standing army (IDF). In case of physical invasion, the number of killings in Gaza would increase manifold, turning into a humanitarian crisis. It appears that through misreporting on social and mainstream media, Hamas attacks in Israel are being projected as a serious threat for the survival of Israel.

US President Joe Biden clearly stated, “This is what they mean by human tragedy, an atrocity on an appalling scale. We’re going to continue to stand united, supporting the people of Israel who are suffering unspeakable losses and opposing the hatred and violence of terrorism.” This is one sided stance of a superpower which has never condemned the Israeli brutalities against Palestinians in the last many decades. US Secretary of State Mr Blinken visited Israel with a clear message to unarmed Palestinians, “I’m going with a very simple and clear message … that the United States is on Israel’s back.” What a pity that he threatened innocent Palestinians and even didn’t utter a word to sympathize with those Palestinians who were killed in atrocious Israel aerial, naval and ground attacks.

It’s unfortunate that the entire European Union has chosen to support the State of Israel in various ways, including militarily, economically and politically. The European leaders have pledged all out support for Israel, while simultaneously deciding to stop the economic assistance to poor Palestinians. Indeed, it is a matter of shame for the entire Europe that created the illegitimate Zionist State of Israel through the Balfour Declaration and still supporting its brutalities against the actual inhabitants of this land. The British Foreign Minister too visited Israel to show solidarity with Zionist State against the innocent Palestinians of Gaza. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated, “His government is “poised” to provide diplomatic, intelligence or security support, if requested, to Israel. The UK is one of Israel’s “strongest allies.” All other European leaders have shown the same sentiments to support the Zionist State despite its decades of aggression and invasion on Palestinian soil. In South Asia, India has taken a very clear position to support the brutalities of the Israeli State. Indeed, Indian media and its politicians are supporting the Israeli military actions against the innocent Palestinians.

It is to be pointed out that in July 2023, Israel killed over a dozen innocent Palestinians in the densely populated Jenin Refugee Camp, besides over 100 Palestinians were injured during this Israeli aggression. In June 2023, Israeli security forces killed four and injured 91 Palestinians. In January 2023, following the controversial visit of the Israeli Minister to Al Aqsa Mosque Compound, Israeli security forces attacked and killed three young Palestinians in the West Bank area in the vicinity of flashpoint town. The Zionist State of Israel is continuously killing the Palestinians, who dare to question the illegal Israeli occupation of their motherland. This all is being done through a well-planned strategy for ultimate wiping out the Palestinian State forever. Recalling the Israeli aggression and state-sponsored terrorism on Palestinians, in August 2022, Israeli military killed 44 Palestinians and injured more than 400 in Gaza. Earlier, in May 2021, the Israeli security forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem and killed over 200 innocent Palestinians which included 40 children and 30 women.

A critical analysis of the entire happenings in the Middle East indicates that Israel is heading towards a total control over the Palestinian land, leaving no chance for a two-state solution (Israel and Palestine) as mandated by the UN in 1948 through its famous resolution 181. The unfortunate part is that the Muslim world is criminally quiet over the Israeli brutalities and consolidation process of the Israeli State. The United States and European Union have been constantly supporting the brutal acts of Israeli forces while blocking the UN resolutions over Palestine. A critical analysis of political developments in the Middle East suggests that the State of Israel is progressing towards a scenario where the establishment of a viable Palestinian State seems increasingly unlikely. The recent closed-door session of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) concluded without producing a positive outcome, underscoring concerns that Israel’s substantial military capabilities are enabling actions that disproportionately affect innocent Palestinians.
