More intermittent rains with isolated heavy falls are predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and parts of Pakistan on Tuesday night and the next two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents are approaching upper parts of the country. Westerly trough is also present over northern parts.
Under these conditions, intermittent rains with isolated heavy falls are predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Tuesday night and the next two days.
Moderate to heavy fiwnpours may cause landslides in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, Buner, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Murree, Galliyat Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Heavy rains may cause urban flooding in Mardan, Swabi, Peshawar, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Gujrat.
Islamabad’s daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 30°C and 32°C on Wednesday and 28°C and 30°C on Thursday.
Rawalpindi’s daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 32°C and 34°C on Wednesday and 30°C and 32°C on Thursday.
Over the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of the country. However, rain-wind/thundershowers occurred in Islamabad, Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.
Downpours also occurred in Islamabad, Potohar region and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
