More widespread rains with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Friday evening and night as well as on Saturday, with occasional breaks.
Synoptic Situation:
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong westerly wave prevails over most parts of Pakistan, which will likely persist in the upper/central parts till tomorrow.

Under these conditions, widespread rains and windstorms with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Punjab, northeastern Balochistan, Upper Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Friday evening and night as well as on Saturday, with occasional breaks.
Impacts:
Heavy to very heavy rains may cause landslides in Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Downpour may also cause flash floods in local nullahs and streams of Balochistan and KP, and hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan.
Windstorms and hailstorms may damage weak structures such as electric poles, billboards, and solar panels. Windstorms and hailstorms may damage standing crops in Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.
Temperatures:
Islamabad and Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 27°C and 29°C on Saturday and between 28°C and 30°C on Sunday.

Widespread rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Balochistan. Heavy falls and hailstorms were also observed at a few places. Light rain was reported at a few places in Kashmir.
