Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies (IPDS) and China’s ASIN ASEAN TS Chongqing Group signed an MoU to establish skill development and training institutions in the underdeveloped areas of Pakistan. According to Gwadar Pro, the MoU is aimed to promote mutual understanding and friendship between Pakistan and China by establishing joint training centers and institutions to help alleviate poverty and strengthen economic development in the country.

Both organizations aim to develop cooperation in the areas of vocational education and training with a particular focus on creating a skilled workforce ready for the future. The aim of this collaboration is also to help and benefit communities and poverty alleviation through various training and skills development courses, expert training, study tours, and student exchanges based on sharing of experience and knowledge.

A joint working relationship has been established through this MoU for long-term collaborations with an aim to international education exchange and enhancing cooperation on students’ vocational education, training, internships, and employment assistance. As a result of this agreement, along with the establishment of the vocational centers, new and innovative business training especially e-commerce will be outlined and executed.

There will be a greater chance for the graduates from these centers to find jobs and do business to help alleviate poverty in Pakistan. Along with the training, there will be student exchange programs and study tours arranged for building and strengthening China-Pakistan relations.
