Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Democratic Political Movement (DPM) and APHC leader Khadim Hussain have condemned the rising incidents of Indian state terrorism and the ongoing killing spree by the Indian troops in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued in Srinagar on Monday, the DFP spokesman advocate Arshad Iqbal while voicing his party’s serious concern over the worsening human rights situation in the territory said the continued violence and bloodshed poses a serious existential threat to the Kashmiris who have been reeling under the India’s relentless and brutal suppression for the past several decades.

Terming the recent killing of youth in Kulgam and other areas of the valley as part of Indian government’s systematic genocide campaign, the DFP leader appealed the international human rights organization to take stock of the situation and help-stop the barbaric brutality being inflicted on Kashmiri people. He said the Indian troops operating under a shield of draconian laws have unleashed a reign of terror in occupied Kashmir. “Innocent people are being harassed and humiliated during cordon and search operations, whereas extra-judicial killings, enforced disappearances, rape and killing of youth in fake encounters are being used by India as a war tactic to suppress Kashmiris’ legitimate struggle for freedom”.

The spokesman also rejected the so-called K Delimitation Commission’s recent report and termed it a conspiracy aimed at minimizing the role of Kashmiri Muslims in the decision-making process and making them subservient to a minority community. The people of Kashmir, he said, have time and again foiled such conspiracies being hatched to disempower Kashmiri Muslims who have simply refused to accept Indian diktats. The DFP spokesman expressed condolence over the death of freedom movement leader Ghulam Hassan Lone.

Democratic Political Movement in condolence meeting held in Bandipora in the memory of freedom leader, Haji Sultan Shah said that his sacrifices would always be remembered for the Kashmir cause. A large number of people participated in h is last rites. Haji Sultan died in occupied Jammu and Kashmir after a brief illness.

APHC leader Khadim Hussain in a statement in Srinagar said that the notification of the so-called report of the Delimitation Commission had once against exposed the evil designs of Modi regime against Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir. He termed the report a blatant attempt to push the Kashmiri Muslims against the wall. The APHC leader pointed out that the final report had testified the fact that instead of working in a free and fair manner, the Commission acted upon the advice of Modi-led regime in India.

Hurriyat leaders Jameel Mir and Dr Musaib, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League and APHC AJK leader Syed Aijaz Rehmani have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of JIIIOJk leader, Haji Muhammad Sultan and People League leader, Ghulam Hassan lone and offered heartfelt condolences with their families.
