Khursheed Khaskheli, the mother of honour killing victim girl Tania Khaskheli, died here on Thursday.
The poor lady till her last breath tired her best to get justice but to no avail.
Khursheed Khaskheli’s condition suddenly deteriorated last night and she was rushed to JPMC hospital where she breathed her last.
Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Altaf Shakoor said that the deceased had been receiving threats from the mafia that was involved in murder of her daughter. He said they suspect that the death of Khursheed might to be natural and a FIR needs to be lodged and probe initiated.
Tania, a class-X student, was gunned down at her home in Jhangar Baajara town of Jamshoro district in 2017 for turning down a marriage proposal.
Three men nominated for her murder in the FIR, Khanu Noohani, Mola Bux Noohani and an unidentified person. Khanu is an influential landlord in the area.
The family says that Khanu, along with his armed men, barged into their home and gunned down their 19-year-old daughter in front of them. Khanu murdered her because Tania had turned down his marriage proposal.
The family claims that the police did not even secure the crime scene.
She was shot dead in the veranda of their home. A bullet, which pierced through her head, hit a wall in a room. The family says Khanu had earlier tried to kidnap their daughter twice.
Her mother, now deceased, Khursheed Khaskheli ran from the pillar to post in search of justice. However, she died without seeing the killers of her daughter taken to the task.
PDP Chairman Altaf Shakoor expressing condolences with the bereaved family demanded that justice be doled out in the murder of Tania Khaskheli.
