The people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are suffering immensely due to the continued violent cordon and search operations and house raids by Indian troops and police personnel.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops conduct massive search operations and house raids in different areas of Srinagar, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian, Islamabad, Kulgam, Rajouri and Poonch districts, from time to time, subjecting the residents to severe harassment. The residents of many areas told the media that the forces’ personnel have made their lives a hell as they barge into residential houses, terrorize the inmates and vandalize the household goods.

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders including Molvi Bashir Irfani, Bilal Siddiqi, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Abdul Ahad, Fayaz Hussain Jafari, Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi, Maulana Nisar Ahmed Nisar Qasmi, Shafiqul Rehman and Maulana Musaib Nadvi in their statements in Srinagar hailed the Kashmiri diaspora for observing October 27 as Black Day and organizing peaceful protest demonstrations and rallies against India’s military invasion of Jammu and Kashmir in 1947. They said the Kashmiris never accepted India’s illegal occupation of their homeland and will continue their struggle to achieve freedom from Indian yoke till complete success.

The APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar condemned the occupation authorities over repeated closure of Jamia Masjid Srinagar and house arrest of senior APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. He said that the authorities’ action betrayed their claims about the so-called normalcy in the territory.

On the other hand, digital trucks drove down the central locations in Washington DC, drawing the attention of the world community towards the Indian brutalities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Rented by the World Kashmir Awareness Forum, the digital trucks flashed the messages like “From Kashmir to Palestine: Occupation is the crime”, “India: Stop Land Grabbing in Kashmir”, “India: Stop Killing of Political Prisoners in Kashmir”, “Kashmiris Reject Indian Occupation: UN Resolution only Solution.”
