Hurriyat leaders greet Pakistanis on their independence day

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations felicitating the government and people of Pakistan on their Inde-pendence Day have prayed for the peace and pros-perity of the country.

senior Hurriyat leader, Ghu-lam Muhammad Khan Sopori, in a statement in Srinagar said the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has always supported the Kashmiris’ struggle for secur-ing their right to self-determination at all interna-tional forums.

He said the Kashmiri people pray for peace, stability, development and prosperity in Pakistan and they believe that a strong and stable Pakistan is important for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

He expressed hope that Pakistan will continue its moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle.

Khan Sopori also appeal to all peace loving people of the world especially oppressed Kashmiris to observe Indian Independence Day, tomorrow (August 15) as Black Day.

The Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui, in a statement in Srinagar said Pakistan is not an ordinary country but an ideologi-cal state and sole Muslim atomic power.

He said Muslims across the globe attach high hopes with the country as Pakistan has been a support to all op-pressed nations across the world, particularly Kashmir and Palestine. He thanked the government and people of Pakistan for their continued support to the Kashmir cause.

The Chairman of Peoples Political Front, Muhammad Musaddiq Aadil, said the Kashmiris and Pakistanis are tied in religious, ideological, social and emotional bonds.

He maintained that Pakistan has been continuously supporting the Kashmiris’ just cause of freedom for the last over seven decades.

He said Pakistan is a great gift of Allah Almighty for the entire Muslim Ummah and it is the religious responsibility of the Muslim world to work for the security and stability of this country.

Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami Jammu and Kash-mir spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said a strong and stable Pakistan is the guarantor of Kash-mir’s freedom from Indian yoke.

He said that the dream of Pakistan of the poet of the East, Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal, was fulfilled by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with his vision, intelligence, honesty, principled politics and determination in a short period of time.

The spokesman said that the unilateral action of Narendra Modi-led fascist In-dian government on August 5, 2019 and the brutal and inhuman treatment meted out to Muslims by Hindu extremists in India proved the Quaid-e-Azam’s two nation theory right.

He said Indian oppression for the last 73 years has failed to sup-press the Kashmiris’ resolve for freedom. He said that the day was not far when India would have to face defeat and Jammu and Kashmir would be free from Indian illegal domination and become part of Pakistan.

Hurriyat leader, Muhammad Yasin Attai, in his statement said the Kashmiri people are grateful to Pakistan for being the advocate of their right to self-determination at every international forum. —KMS
