How Many Flights Departed From Lahore Airport In 2025

LAHORE – More than 12,000 flights departed from the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, during outgoing year of 2025.

It was revealed by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in its annual performance report. It revealed that the immigration staff at Lahore Airport successfully processed the immigration of 5.1 million passengers for both international arrivals and departures.

The year saw significant activity, with 12,357 flights departing from the airport, carrying 2.6 million passengers. Similarly, 12,338 flights brought2.5 million passengers to Lahore from various countries.

The year was also marked by a strong enforcement record, as the FIA Immigration apprehended 242 criminals wanted for serious offenses.

Of the arrested individuals, 73 were caught while attempting to flee abroad, and 169 were detained upon their arrival in Pakistan.

These individuals were on the “Stop List”, which tracks people with pending legal issues. Among those arrested, 130 were wanted by Punjab Police, 105 by the Anti-Human Trafficking Circles, 6 by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, and 1 by Islamabad Police.

In an effort to combat fraudulent activities, 121 passengers were prevented from traveling abroad on fake documents.

Additionally, the FIA Immigration took special measures to address the critical issue of human trafficking, organizing 28 training sessions in collaboration with international organizations.

Over 200 immigration officers received specialized training to improve their ability to prevent human trafficking and related crimes.

The spokesperson for FIA emphasized that these efforts reflect the agency’s commitment to strengthening border security and preventing illegal activities at Lahore Airport.
