India Announces Air Drills Near Pakistan Border In Gujrat

NEW DELHI – Despite the setbacks faced during the May 2025 conflict, India has announced air exercises near the Pakistani border in the Gujarat region, continuing its warmongering posture.

The Indian air force (IAF) will conduct these drills in the Kutch area, with airspace closure scheduled from January 20 to January 21, 2026. During this period, international flights will be restricted as the IAF takes control of the airspace for its operations.

These exercises will involve advanced fighter jets, including the Rafale, Sukhoi 30MKI, Jaguar, and other frontline aircraft.

The restricted airspace will cover a sensitive region near India’s southern border with Pakistan, encompassing areas like the Arabian Sea, Sir Creek, Rajkot, and Ahmedabad, all of which lie near Pakistan’s border. These areas are considered highly strategic, raising concerns about the implications for regional security.

Earlier this month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed that Pakistan’s military delivered a lesson India would never forget during the intense four-day conflict in May 2025.

Speaking at a ceremony to officially launch the distribution of laptops under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Programme in Azad Jammu and Kashmir at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK), PM Shehbaz highlighted Pakistan’s significant military success.

Over the 87-hour clash, Pakistan successfully downed six Indian fighter jets, including three Rafales, along with numerous drones. The conflict ended on May 10 with a ceasefire agreement, mediated by the United States.
