Halal tourism has shown an upward trend in both countries with a majority Muslim population and non-Islamic countries, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin said while opening the Hybrid Event Leaders’ Summit Asia-Global Tourism Forum (GTF) 2021 in Jakarta.
The world tourism trend is marked by increasing the number of halal tourist destinations in various countries.
This is driven by the increasing number of Muslim travelers, especially from Middle Eastern countries,” he remarked. In the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, halal tourism will also require assurance of cleanliness.— Antara News
