KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan and international market surged to fresh record high amid various global economic uncertainties
According to sarafa association, the price of per tola gold recorded a massive jump of Rs8,500 to reach all-time high of Rs470,862 in local market.
The price of 10-gram gold also hit record high after an increase of Rs7,288 to reach Rs403,668 in Pakistan.
The bullion rates in international market soared to fresh high level as per ounce gold is being traded for $4,485 after an increase of $85.
A day earlier, the price of gold per tola jumped by Rs6,200 to Rs462,362 whereas 10-gram gold was sold for Rs396,400, marking an increase of Rs5,315, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.
Meanwhile, the US dollar continues its downward trend against Pakistan Rupee, with a slight decrease of 2 paisas in the interbank market.
According to the Exchange Companies Association, the dollar is currently trading at 280.20 Pakistani rupees.
This marks another decline in the value of the dollar against the Pakistani rupee, which has been experiencing fluctuations in recent months.
Experts suggest that the ongoing depreciation of the dollar could have broader implications for the local economy and exchange rates in the coming weeks.
